LYNN WALKER-A TRANS FAITH LEADER, AN OSCAR WILDE STORY
Out-FM's Pauline Park will speak with the Right Rev. Lynn Elizabeth Walker, bishop of the Orthodox Catholic Church in New York, about her journey coming to terms with her transgender identity and her path to leadership as a faith leader in a breakaway church as chronicled in her memoir, "Forward! Thoughts of a Trans Woman on the Christian Journey." Oscar Wilde is an iconic figure in the LGBTQ community for his courageous fight against the pervasive and institutional homophobia of Victorian Britain; Wilde is known for his witty plays, above all, his masterpiece, "The Importance of Being Earnest." But the gay socialist Irishman wrote many little known poems and short stories. Out-FM's Pauline Park reads "The Model Millionaire: A Note of Appreciation," a short story about class privilege in Victorian England.
