MARY MCDONAGH MEMBER OF THE IRISH TRAVELLER COMMUNITY

 I will have on Mary McDonagh an emerging film and theatre producer from Dublin, Ireland — and a proud member of the Irish Traveller community. A multidisciplinary artist, she is passionate about creating opportunities for voices too often left out of the conversation.
Mary produced Ireland’s first-ever Traveller Cabaret in 2023, featuring an all-Traveller cast She is now launching her first short film, "Change the Locks". The film tells the story of Helen, a newly homeless middle-class woman, and the friendships she forms on her first night on the streets Mary’s goal is to raise awareness about Ireland’s homelessness crisis — where over 15,000 people, including nearly 5,000 children, are without a home — and to raise funds to complete the film’s editing.
