JASON ISAACS CHECKS IN

** "To be English and to watch the news, and to see MI6, which is our CIA, talk about how if all the European countries got their armies together, we could beat Russia in a ground war - I think wait a second, this isn't some lunatic - is beyond contemplation..."

Jason Isaacs Talks Words Of War, The White Lotus, The Salt Path. The British actor is a master of dramatic disguises in nearly 200 productions - including portrayals of Cary Grant, Peter The Great, Mephisto, Dracula, Captain Hook, Satan twice, Star Wars, Suicide Squad, Justice League, Armaggedon, Batman, Star Trek, The West Wing, Harry Potter - and The White Lotus, a vacation resort drama he describes as 'Lord Of The Flies.'

But Isaacs is taking a more sobering turn in Words Of War, a memoir based bio-drama touching on the life of Russian reporter Anna Politkovskaya, who during the religious separatist 1999 Chechnya civil war, ended up in the midst of the conflict with the Russian government - and the civilians caught in between.

And with Isaacs portraying Anna's not exactly joyful, subsequently depressed spouse, we explore additional controversial aspects of this film - and the surrounding history off-screen at the time. While the actor observing, 'mankind seems to want, need and repeatedly return to war, we seem to not learn from history - I'm horrified by it...."

** "The bottom line I think, is it doesn't really matter what Trump says - we have to judge by his actions..."

Pacifica Host Garland Nixon, in a role reversal on occasion, takes a seat on the other side of the table, as a guest of the take no prisoners UK host and political figure, George Galloway, in fact a prior host himself on Pacifica - and together tackling the art of figuring out the world. With connections to tariff wars, Taiwan, Iran, Russia, BlackRock, the State Department and mass protest resistance - and Biden eating spaghetti in a Rome bistro...

** "I am not writing as a man seeking approval, I write to you as a son of Africa - bold, bruised, unbowed..."

To the New Pope Leo - Letter from Burkina Faso President and African revolutionary, Ibrahim Traore...

** "What's going on is a complete and utter turning around of reality. In the West, something quite different - instead of a great patriotic war, we have a great corporate beast..."

Bro On The Global Cultural Beat - A Tale Of Two WWII Victory Day Celebrations. Arts Express Paris Correspondent Professor Dennis Broe reporting on the ground, staked out at what's really going down at some of those celebrations...

Plus...corporate media breaking news or rather broken news...
