ORSON WELLES RADIO ALMANAC from CBS Pacific net on March 01, 1944 for Mobil Oil. The sixth show of the series. The Nat King Cole Trio plays "Solid Potato Salad." Guest Victor Moore appears in "Sacre du Printemps," adapted from a story by Ludwig Bemmelmans. The cast does a comic anti-Hitler drama about Emil Krotzig, a German trying to arrange a funeral. A fact from "Orson's Almanac:" The Democratic Party was at one time the Republican Party! Orson reads an essay about Democracy. With Orson Welles, Victor Moore, Hans Conried, John McIntire, Agnes Moorehead, John Brown, Walter Tetley, Lud Gluskin and His Orchestra, announcer Jack Mather.


ORSON WELLES COMMENTARY from ABC net on Aug 18, 1946 #48 A film by Mr. Wells ("The Stranger"?) has been banned in Aiken, South Carolina. Mr. Welles has also been hanged in effigy. The case of Isaac Woodard continues. The town was Batesburg (near Aiken), the policeman was Chief L.L. Shull. Orson swears to Chief Shull, "You won't get rid of me."
