Co-hosts Michael Smith and Jim Lafferty speak with Chris Hedges about the temporary pier being built on the Mediterranean coast of Gaza. Award-winning journalist and political writer, Chris Hedges reveals that the pier isn't there to alleviate famine but to move Palestinians onto ships and into exile. 

A recent OXFAM report states: The conditions we have observed in Gaza are beyond catastrophic, and we have not only seen failure by Israeli authorities to meet their responsibility to facilitate and support international aid efforts, but in fact seen active steps being taken to hinder and undermine such aid efforts.

Hosts then speak with Patrick Martin, senior editor of the World Socialist Web Site about the historic disparity amid the economic classes in the United States. The immense concentration of wealth among hundreds of billionaires in America has helped destroy key institutions in the United States, from education to politics.  Martin lists several prominent billionaires and discusses their wealth accumulation process. He also predicts we're going to see the rise of the first trillionaires.
