PLAYWRIGHT DEB MARGOLIN ON HER PLAY ON THE RED SCARE

On tonight's show we'll be joined by playwright Deb Margolin to discuss her new play This is Not A Time of Peace, whose title quotes the dead, but not dead enough, Senator Joseph R. McCarthy of Wisconsin. The play is based upon Margolin's own haunted memories of the Red Scare, her father's red-baiting by McCarthy his subsequen blacklisting and termination of his distinguished work as a metallurgic scientist for the United States gpverment and his all-too-eventual exoneration.
