Bios
Judy Sheridan-Gonzalez, RN, MSN, FNP is the former president of New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA). She's worked for more than 30 years as an Emergency Room RN in Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, as well as in a variety of other specialties in assorted health care environments. She is part of an active group of nurses engaged in transforming the organization into a social justice union to construct a movement dedicated to combat inequality and committed to social change. Most recently she helped lead the strike at Montefiore Hospital. She has been fighting for universal healthcare for many years.
Kate Connors is a Health teacher at John Bowne High School, union delegate and MORE UFT member. She advocates for the passage of NYHA through her work with NYPAN, Campaign for New York Health, DSA’s Health Justice Working Group and the MORE caucus’ Health Justice Working Group.
