NYS HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSIONER DENISE MIRANDA
New York State Division of Human Rights Commissioner Denise Miranda joins host Jeff Simmons on City Watch on Thursday, October 1, at 5 PM ET.
Commissioner Miranda will discuss the discrimination complaints her agency is receiving, which problems are increasing, where progress is being made and how she has worked to make the Division more accessible and responsive.
The conversation will also provide practical information for New Yorkers who experience discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, education or other settings. Learn how to report an incident, what information to preserve, what happens after a complaint is filed and what protections exist against retaliation.
After the interview, Jeff will open the phone lines for listeners to share their experiences and questions at 212-209-2877.
