FALL PET CARE AND THE MUSIC THAT MOVES ANIMALS

On Sunday, September 20 at 9 AM, join host Jeff Simmons for a new Animal Matters on WBAI 99.5 FM NY and streaming at WBAI.org.

First, Dr. Amy Attas, founder of City Pets Vets and author of Pets and the City, joins us with practical advice for keeping dogs and cats healthy and safe as summer gives way to fall. We’ll talk about seasonal hazards pet owners should know about, changing routines and temperatures, fall allergies, Halloween dangers and other ways to protect the animals we love.

Then, meet Loris Assadian, known as Plumes, the musician who has gained international attention for something extraordinary: serenading animals. He’ll share how playing music for cows in the French countryside transformed his life and career, what he has learned from performing for animals around the world, and why he believes music can create a connection that crosses species.

Animal Matters is possible because WBAI is listener-supported. Help keep independent radio—and programs devoted to animals and their welfare—on the air by becoming a BAI Buddy, a sustaining monthly supporter, at buddy.wbai.org.
