On today's edition of The Indypendent News Hour, we speak with Claire Valdez, a democratic socialist who is running in a hotly contested race for an open seat in New York’s 7th congressional district which spans North Brooklyn and Western Queens. NY-07, which voted for Zohran Mamdani by more than 50 points, is arguably the most leftwing congressional district in the country. We’ll also speak with Linda Sarsour one of the co-leaders of #Next 250 and Trevor Smith, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Black Liberation-Indigenous Sovereignty Collective about an upcoming series of coordinated events and mobilizations to push back on the Trump Administration’s whitewashing of American history.
