IS LANDMARKING OVER IN NYC?/APP DRIVER VICTORY
Based on an updated report, "examining all NYC landmark designations from 1965 (Year the law and Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) established) to 2025; Finds Adams WORST Mayor for landmarking," but LPC has been on a downward spiral for decades in part due to the power and money or the Real Estate Board of NY (REBNY). What will happen with the new Mayor, who didnt meet with preservation groups during the campaign and who supported Adams' horrendous 'City of Yes' & ballot initiatives, considered a complete giveaway to the RE industry? With Andrew Berman, executive director, Village Preservation & Frampton Tolbert, executive director, Historic Districts Council.
Also, Bhairavi Desai, executive director, NY Taxi Workers Alliance.
