Hosts then look at the response to the recent education code passed in California called AB715. It will allow teachers to be monitored in what they teach about Israel and Palestine. Critics of the amendment say it essentially conflates the criticism of Zionism with antisemitism and could arbitrarily punish educators. Returning guest Professor emeritus Marjorie Cohn discusses the AB715 critique and her recent article about the lawsuit brought against state leaders on behalf of California public school teachers and parents of students.
