"No one owns the oceans" The United Nations had its second Ocean Conference June 5-9 in France. There was both good news and bad news to come out of that conference. We'll be speaking with someone who was there and will give details on what is being done and what needs to be done.

Our guest is Pierre Bardoux from the Global Fund for Coral Reefs, GFCR. How are governments involved in polluting, protecting and preserving the oceans? How are corporations involved in polluting, protecting and preserving the oceans? Just how bad off are the coral reefs of Earth? Why should we care?

The GFCR Coalition is a public-private partnership driven by more than 60 nations, UN agencies, financial institutions, philanthropies, impact investors, and conservation organizations.

We will go into detail about the “three most pressing problems: overfishing, acidification, and pollution”. We'll also talk about seafood, mangroves, and ship fuel.

We open the show with news: a possible PFAS alternative, and it's the 50th anniversary of the movie JAWS so we have a report on what's happened to sharks since then.
