" HA HA HA HA HA HA HA ":AN IMPROVISED SOLO SHOW BY JULIA MASLI, A SELF-DESCRIBED CLOWN
On tonight’s show, we’ll be joined by performance artist Julia Maslie, who self-describes as a “clown” and whose new solo show at The Public Theater, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA is improvised, heavily based on audience participation, and completely different every night.
Julia Masli is a multi- award-winning clown from Estonia, based in London. .She was the winner of the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality in 2019, and her debut show Choosh—about a migrant’s struggles in the USA—was one of the most acclaimed comedy shows of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA is a New York Times Top Pick of the Year and comes to The Public after several critically acclaimed runs at the Wooly Mammoth Theater Company, New York’s Soho Playhouse, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, London’s Soho Theatre, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Julia Masli’s slew of awards for comedy have overtaken her real, more modest goal: helping solve people’s problems, benefitting humankind and eventually winning the Nobel Prize.
