MITIGATING CLIMATE CHANGE THROUGH ECONOMICS

On this episode of Eco-Logic, we bring you two experts in environmental economics to explain in simple terms how economics affects the environment, how the environment affects economics and what the unintended conquences are.

Bryan Snyder teaches in the Department of Economics at Bentley University in Massachusetts and in the Mass Center for Industrial Competitiveness. He has taught in many universities. We found him through the Union of Radical Political Economists (URPE). He is member of the Dollars & Sense magazine editorial collective and co-editer of the book The Economics of the Environment.

Andreas Deutschmann is Managing Director at Avalon Securities, a female-owned investment bank in New York City, where he focuses on sustainable development, clean energy, and early-stage technology companies, specializing in artificial intelligence and renewable energy ventures. He was a member of The Council of Foreign Relations. He teaches internationally and is currently an adjunct professor in Budapest.

The news we have for you on this episode include: reports on endangered sea turtles coming back, $28 Trillion in climate damage caused by only 111 corporations, and the Giant Softshell Yangtze River turtle probably going extinct.

Our music to complement this show is Alabama singing, “Pass It On Down”.
