Every once in a while, Eco-Logic takes the opportunity to catch up a little on environmental news. There is so much going on and each week we bring you news, views, and environmental music. Our regular in-depth interviews continue next week with a show about the economics of mitigating climate change.

For our news pieces we cover a variety of topics -- including increasing Monarch Butterflies, disappearing chocolate, disappearing Great White Sharks, drunken elephants, 2000 different studies on human effects on wildlife populations, an update on the Elizabeth St. Garden, and environmental attacks on a Georgia island's unique culture. Stories go from New York City to Mexico to Georgia to Africa and we also have announcements of events coming up. We make sure to include solutions to every problem we bring up.

On May 3rd, WBAI and the Peoples' Voice Café are doing a benefit concert that will celebrate Pete Seeger's 106th birthday. You'll get to hear singer, songwriter, guitarist Judy Gorman, who is also the event organizer, and Rev. Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir. Most of the members in that choir also perform in Broadway musicals. You'll get to hear them singing environmental songs and benefit WBAI at the same time.
