CATCHING UP WITH PLAYWRIGHT NIA AKILAH ROBINSON

Join us for an update with one of the most exciting new voices in the American Theatre. When we met playwright Nia Akilah Robinson early in 2024, she had a lot going on. Finishing at Julliard, preparing to enter graduate school, and having plays produced in the United States and London. She still has big things happening. The world premiere of her play, "THE GREAT PRIVATION (How to flip ten cents into a dollar)" recently opened to great acclaim at the renowned Soho Rep in its new space. And she did all that it takes to be a playwright ushering in a new work while being a full-time graduate student at Yale’s David Geffen School of Drama.
