LAW AND DISORDER NOVEMBER 18, 2024

Co-hosts Stephen Rohde and Michael Smith speak with ACLU attorney Ben Wizner about how frontline organizations plan to protect civil rights and civil liberties in the wake of the second Trump administration including the mass immigration plan. Ben Wizner is the director of the ACLU’s Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, which works to protect and expand the First Amendment freedoms of expression, association, and inquiry, and ensure that civil liberties are enhanced rather than compromised by new advances in science and technology.

Hosts then talk with Jewish Currents publisher Daniel May. Daniel holds a PhD in modern Jewish thought and has over two decades of experience in community and labor organizing. The discussion will focus on the identity crisis of the Jewish left as it grapples with the State of Israel and the genocide in Gaza.
