LAW AND DISORDER SEPTEMBER 9, 2024

Co-hosts Stephen Rohde and Maria Hall speak with former CIA officer John Kiriakou about his whistleblower testimony on the CIA's torture program and the subsequent fallout. He told ABC News that the CIA tortured prisoners, that torture was official U.S. government policy, and that the policy had been approved by President George W. Bush. John Kiriakou is the author of eight books, including The Reluctant Spy: My Secret Life in the CIAs War on Terror; and The CIA Insiders Guide to the Iran Crisis.

Next, Armenian attorney Karnig Kerkonian joins co-host attorney Heidi Boghosian to talk about the recent displacement of Armenians and destruction of their cultural heritage by Azerbaijan's dictator Ilham Aliyev. This interview also highlights the international community's willful blindness to Azerbaijan's atrocious human rights and environmental violations in awarding the country to host this year's UN Climate Conference, COP 29.
