BEHIND THE 'CAT LADY' RHETORIC

Guest: Julie Kolher, author of JD Vance Puts an Extremist Marriage Agenda on the Ballot.

We'll be examining what's really behind the resurgence of conservative natalism and anti-feminist rhetoric issuing from Vance--who is being dismissed as a 'weirdo' for his 'childless cat lady" comments--but actually represents an emerging cabal of 'postliberal Catholic right wing 'intellectuals' and academics, who will have the ear of the White House if Trump wins the presidency.

We'll look at the implications for women of the attacks on 'single women', as spelled out in Project 2025, that seeks to erase all of the contributions women make to society--except for birthing and raising children and that seeks to take us back to the 1950's; how this will manifest in a tax code that will further disenfranchise single women, non-traditional families (including many Black families) and poor people; why policies that are being put forward in Project 2025 favor women NOT working outside the home and therefore would set women back and make life much harder then it presently is for non-traditional families, single mother families, etc.

We'll also look at the rise of a group of Catholic 'post-liberal' intellectuals--and who they are. And we'll look at the many faces of 'natalism'--government policies that encourage population growth--and how this is predominant in autocratic and fascist societies in which women are reduced to being babymakers for the needs of 'the nation'. To quote Adolf Hitler on women: "Women are the Womb of the Reich."
