Stan Mack’s Real Life Funnies

The Collected Conceits, Delusions, and Hijinks of New Yorkers from 1974 to 1995.

Stan Mack’s beloved cartoon strip ran from 1974-1995 in the pages of New York’s trailblazing alternative newsweekly, The Village Voice. His comic strip featured the everyday, extraordinary, and outlandish lives of New Yorkers, capturing their humor, sexual shenanigans, and exotic obsessions by telling every one of their stories entirely in the subjects’ own words.
