THE FIRE THIS TIME: GEORGE FLOYD, THE OVER POLICING OF BLACK BODIES, AND WHITE SUPREMACY

No Scheduled Air Dates

Hosted by: Katea Stitt, Greg Carr

Two years after the murder of George Floyd, white supremacist violence continues to run amuck, while Black and Brown people continue to be brutalized and murdered, both nationally and globally.

On May 25th, 6-8pm EST, the second anniversary of Mr. Floyds passing, WPFW and WBAI presented The Fire This Time: George Floyd, the Overpolicing of Black Bodies, and White Supremacy, hosted by WPFWs Katea Stitt and Howard University's Dr. Greg Carr.

Activists on the ground in Minneapolis and Buffalo, scholars, attorneys and authors unpacked issues of racial violence, the origins of policing, socio-economic oppression and the creation and function of whiteness in the context of privilege.
