NYC RENT GUIDELINES BOARD GUESSES AGAIN
In an unprecented move, the New York City Rent Guidelines Board will meet Tuesday, May 27, at 9:30 am to reconsider its preliminary vote for proposed rent hikes this year, now set at 1.75% to 4.75% on one-year leases, and 4.75% to 7.75% on two-year leases. Heat & hot water: Heat law is in effect starting October 1 and continuing until May 31: from 6am to 10pm, when the outside temperature is below 55, the temperature everywhere in your apartment must be at least 68 degrees; from 10pm to 6am, the temperature everywhere in your apartment must be at least 62 degrees, regardless of the outside temperature.
