Synopsis:

In this week’s segment we discuss a lawsuit on behalf of the Shabazz family, seeking information on law enforcement coverups and possible involvement in the assassination of Malcolm X. But first we hear about politics in the UK, immigration, racism and how the ruling class maintain their power amidst societal crises.

Roger McKenzie is the international editor of the UK-based Morning Star, the only English-language socialist daily newspaper in the world. He joins us from Oxford to discuss a growing UK movement against immigration from the Global South and its political implications. Asylum seekers have been harassed and threatened and huge protests against their presence are taking place throughout the UK. Roger McKenzie will provide analysis of these events.

The investigation of the 1965 assassination of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, Malcolm X, was compromised by the NYPD and the FBI from the very beginning. Innocent men were convicted, only to be exonerated decades later. We are joined by attorney Flint Taylor, of the Peoples Law Office. His firm is among those representing the Shabazz family in seeking to uncover the truth of the assassination and the possibility of enforcement involvement in Malcolm’s murder in the lawsuit Shabazz vs US. Flint Taylor joins us from Chicago.
