On this week’s hour of Women Fight Back, we discuss the recent revelation and importance of “Emily Doe’s” identity from the Brock Turner case. We then discuss the Hong Kong Democracy and Freedom Act introduced as a bi-partisan bill to “protect freedom in Hong Kong” by Marco Rubio. We spend the rest of our show with activists on the ground in Boston sharing first hand accounts of the intense police repression at the "straight pride" parade counter demonstration in Boston. We also discusss the current legal battle that has ensued following the arrest of 36 counter protesters, many of whom are LGBTQ, street medics, and from the press.
