Synopsis:

In this week’s segment we hear about the Trump administration attempting to force CARICOM member nations to end their participating in a Cuban medical program. The administration is also sending Venezuelan nationals to El Salvador in violation of court order and of their due process rights. But first we have an update on conditions in Haiti and the continuing struggle of the people there to end foreign interference in their affairs and regain their sovereignty.

Dahoud Andre joins us from KOMOKODA, the Committee to Mobilize Against Dictatorship in Haiti. He’s also the host of Eritye Papa Desalin, a daily Haitian community radio program and the host of Haiti: Our Revolution Continues on WBAI. He joins us from Brooklyn, to discuss events in Haiti.

Camila Escalante is an editor for Kawsachun News and a Latin America correspondent for PressTV. She will discuss the latest Trump administration policies moves in Latin America. Secretary of State Rubio announced that leaders of Caribbean countries will be personally sanctioned if their nations continue to participate in Cuba’s program which sends medical professionals to work around the world. Also, the Trump administration sent more than 200 Venezuelan nationals to Honduras and El Salvador, alleging that they are members of the Tren de Agua group and therefore are threats to national security. Camila Escalante joins us from Toronto.
