Synopsis:

This program was a few days after the attack by Hamas. In it Linda Sarsour shares her experience as a Palestinian from Brooklyn, as an activist-organizer and mother. She brings us a window into what Palestinians here and in Gaza are going through. She talks about the swift "Stand With Israel" sentiment and how this is not going to bring back our Jewish lives lost, that we can hold the horror of what was done and stand with the families who lost loved ones, without having to stand with Israel who is being led with Fascists now.

What will prevent this again?? Where is Joe Biden in this.. the American President who doesn't see Palestinain lives. Can we say carpet bombing Gaza now, flattening neighborhoods is not going to bring back our Jewish lives lost.. Can we say we love our Jewish families enough who had nothing to do with the attack?

Rafael Shimunov, with JREJ, co-host of Beyond the Pale, Fridays at 9a on WBAI, is in conversation with Linda. He expresses mixed feelings, but points out how many Jews are embracing militarism and revenge, putting away empathy for others.
