The Radio GBE tribute highlights the live album performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland (both in 1972). Herb Boyd, the award-winning journalist and author of several books including Black Detroit: A People's History of Self-Determination offers contemporary commentary, as does Marko Nobles, 2nd vice president of Harlem Week. Under the visionary leadership of LLOYD WILLIAMS, president of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, this year’s 2022 Harlem Week will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic album’s original release.
