Synopsis:

Of Heat & Trees & War & Marriage & Summer & Spying

This was our 100th pandemic episode of Back of the Book. We talked about the pandemic, and about the war Russia is waging against the people of Ukraine. Pickles of the North updated us on the Canadian Internet outage she's mentioned a couple of weeks ago, and she read a short piece about Xmas trees just to help people feel a little cooler in the heat wave. We also talked about State Surveillance and what happens when that data gets stolen. We noted that Donnie "Bonespur" Trump is still trying to get the 2020, election nullified. We talked about the House passing the "Respect for Marriage Act" by a vote of 267-157. We also noted that just before we recorded the program Trump flunky Steve Bannon had been found guilty of contempt of Congress.
