• Covid~19 treatment - Researchers in the United Kingdom have announced that the immune suppressant drug baricitinib reduced the risk of dying among hospitalized COVID patients by 13%.
• Russia Invades Ukraine - The Russian military is bombarding residential neighborhoods and they've attacked the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Their attacks have set the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant on fire.
• Russian censorship - Ukrainians talking to their parents in Russia told that nothing is happening in Ukraine. The Russian state media is pushing Putin's propaganda.
• Russian popular resistance - Thousands all over Russia have been arrested and brutalized by police for trying to demonstrate against the war.

Of course we talked about the war in Ukraine. The Russians are clearly targeting civilians, bombing and shelling residential neighborhoods. We talked about their kicking up radioactive debris in Chernobyl and setting the largest nuclear power plant in Europe on fire.

We talked about the pandemic. It's not over, but people are so eager to get back to "normal" that they are risking a new surge. We talked about an incident in Albuquerque, N.M. where a woman pulled a gun on a guy who had a bumper sticker that said that he was vaccinated.

Pickles of the North talked a bit about NASA's Artemis Project which seeks to send people back to the Moon for more extensive explorations.

We talked about scientists looking to use a type of bacteria to concentrate and remove two radioactive metals from nuclear waste to make it safer to store.

• If you'd like to keep your browsing history private you can get yourself the Tor Browser. Using the DuckDuckGo search engine is automatic with the Tor Browser, and by accessing the DuckDuckGo search engine from the Tor Browser you are pretty much guaranteed that no one can trace searches back to you.

• Gnu Privacy Guard can help you to encrypt your data and preserve your privacy.

• For those who need some help getting started with Gnu Privacy Guard there is Gentle GPG which does a lot of the work for you.

• For the somewhat more advanced user who wants to protect his or her privacy there is the Tails OS. Tails is a live operating system that you can start on almost any computer from a USB flash drive or a DVD. It allows you to use any computer that will allow you to boot up off a USB flash drive or a DVD and it provides a lot of good security for your on-line activities. You can get the Tails OS here.
