Synopsis: While many celebrated the birthday of Dr Martin Luther King jr on January 17, 2022, the date holds additional significance. On January 17, 1961 the democratically elected Prime Minister of the newly independent Congo, Patrice Lumumba, was assassinated. This murder of a head of state was carried out by Congolese stooges with the support of the United States, England, France and Belgium. The destabilization and plunder of the resource rich Congo continues until now.

The participants were Dr Chinzera Davis Kahina of the University of the Virgin Islands, longtime activist Paul Pumphrey and activist/musician Passy Bass of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
