We talked about the heat domes causing big problems in the North American west and the never-ending wildfire season wearing out the fire fighters. We talked about my father fighting fires like that in the west long ago. The smoke from those fires caused serious air pollution in New York City.

We talked about the ransomware attacks, and how the Revil criminals disappeared after Biden talked to Putin again.

We talked about the Billionaire Boy$ Roket Klub actually getting to the edge of space this time, but the FAA deciding not to hand out astronaut status to just any rich jerk.

We talked about a closeted sky pilot who was outed after people bought and examined data from data brokers who had aggregated data from advertisers and others. We talked about the danger of this type of things and the fact the law enforcement, the military and others can get a lot of information about an individual from this sort of exploit.

• For those who need some help getting started with Gnu Privacy Guard there is Gentle GPG which does a lot of the work for you.

• For the somewhat more advanced user who wants to protect his or her privacy there is the Tails OS. Tails is a live operating system that you can start on almost any computer from a USB flash drive or a DVD. It allows you to use any computer that will allow you to boot up off a USB flash drive or a DVD and it provides a lot of good security for your on-line activities. You can get the Tails OS here.
