Synopsis:

Dark matter, cell membranes in space, Summer Solstice, Supreme Court, that spooky laundromat, Juneteenth and more.

We talked about scientists looking for dark matter, which makes up about 85% of the matter in the universe and about 27% of the universe's total mass–energy density. They're designing an apparatus that will use DNA to determine the direction any dark matter signal comes from.

We talked about scientists in Spain making the first detection in space of ethanolamine, a crucial component of the simplest phospholipid which makes up cell membranes.

We talked about the Supreme Court deciding not to strike down the Obamacare law, but deciding that Philadelphia's exclusion of the Catholic Social Services agency from foster care placement due to their refusal to work with same gender couples was illegal. That decision allows the bigotry to continue.

We talked about President Biden signing into law Juneteenth as a federal holiday.

Pickles of the North told us all about trying that same laundromat with the palmetto bug attendant.
