A wedding in Singapore is interrupted by murder, with the wrong man accused of the crime! With Elliott Lewis,Ed Max, Ben Wright, William Conrad, written by Gil Doud and Bob Tallman.

Three more scripts by Kathleen Hite are on tap tonight, including the one that brought her the most acclaim – GUNSMOKE. She wrote for many great radio series prior to that assignment, includingTHE WHISTLER, PHILIP MARLOWE, ROMANCE, ROGERS OF THE GAZETTE, and most of the episodes of FORT LARAMIE.

Frank Lovejoy played reporter Randy Stone on NIGHT BEAT, a series that ran on NBC from 1950 to 1952. Kathleen Hite wrote four episodes, including the last one “The Bug Killings” broadcast on Sept 25, 1952. “Bug is a serial killer, but they cops are trying to pin an extra murder on him, so he calls Randy Stone to set the record straight!

ESCAPE was a great anthology series of high adventure on CBS that was on for several year over several runs, but rarely for very long in any time slot. 236 episodes were broadcast between the start in March 1947 and the final episode on Sept 25, 1954. Many of the same folks involved with GUNSMOKE first worked on ESCAPE. Kathleen Hite wrote four shows for the series, including this one “The Eye of Evil” from July 17, 1954. It's a tale of terror and intrigue in the Burmese jungle, with John Dehner, Lynn Allen, Jack Kruschen, Parley Baer, and Ben Wright.

We'll close it out with a portrait of a grasping, greedy old woman who cleans out Marshall Dillon and Chester in exchange for her help after they are ambushed by Ute Indians on GUNSMOKE #421 "Nettie Sitton" (Virginia Gregg). With William Conrad, Parley Baer, Howard McNear, Georgia Ellis, and George Walsh announcing. For a great web tribute to Kathleen Hite, visit http://www.kathleenhite.com/
