LYLA JUNE JOHNSTON AND EMMANUEL ROZENTAL

In the first half-hour, host Tiokasin Ghosthorse talks with Lyla June Johnston. Lyla is a co-founder of the Taos Peace and Reconciliation Council, which works to heal intergenerational trauma and ethnic division in the northern New Mexico. Lyla talks with Tiokasin about the upcoming "International Days of Prayer and Action in Solidarity with Standing Rock," which will take place October 8-11, 2016.

The organizers are asking people around the world for support in the following ways: (1) Close accounts in key banks that support the Dakota Access Pipeline and (2) organize global prayer events. Community organizers for activities are needed and welcome. Visit the "International Prayer and Action with Standing Rock" Facebook page to find out more and share the graphic and video. Individual prayers will be recorded at www.5k4sr.net.

In the second half-hour, Tiokasin speaks with Emmanuel Rozental, a Colombian activist, researcher and community organizer with Indigenous and popular movements in Colombia and throughout the Americas. Emmanuel is also a practicing physician, surgeon, writer and speaker, and in exile from Colombia. He has lived and worked with Indigenous Cree, Dene and Blackfoot communities in North America.

He is a founding member of Pueblos en Camino (Peoples on the Path), a collective to weave resistance and autonomies between peoples. For more information, visit www.pueblosencamino.org.
