Monday November 24, 3AM - 6AM: Connections

Join Connections host, Ian Forrest, as he spins in the Musical Connection (3-4am), the music of the rooted rudie, Max Romeo who ruled the 70's music scene as a master of sexual innuendo, even while being rooted in Rastafari and social consciousness. In the Extended Play (4-5am), founders of the NY African Diaspora Film Festival, Reinaldo Barroso-Spech and Diarah N-Daw-Spech, will be in-studio guests talking about their 16th year of producing the festival and the 80 films that will be shown from Nov. 28 to December 14.

In the Here and There
(5-6am), hear as Ian Forrest assesses the Caribbean community's relevance in the US, even amid the economic turmoil and Barack Obama's election to the presidency. In this hour too we'll look at the economies of Jamaica and St. Lucia; talk soccer as CONCACAF marches towards the World Cup in South Africa in 2010; and share some healthy advice from CAMSA.
