THE WITCH'S TALE from WOR, Newark, New Jersey, Air Features Syndicate syndication and distributed by "All-Star Distributors" on Jan 02, 1933 #81 "Spirit of the Lake." Old Nancy is 117 years old today. The Indians of Michigan consider a lake holy, and the island in the center of it. A man murders his wife at the urging on his lover, but the spirits will avenger her! The story was heard on The Witch's Tale first on Aug 17, 1931 (as #12 “The Lake”), then on January 2, 1933 and January 7, 1936. This recording could be either one of the latter two. Written, produced and performed by Alonzo Deen Cole.
THE HALL OF FANTASY from KALL, Salt Lake City origination, via The InterMountain Network on Sunday 9:30pm May 04, 1947 #25 "Mark of Shame." A dying man's curse comes back to haunt a soldier after a fateful duel. The story is based on "Evaline's Visitant" by Mary Elizabeth Braddon, adapted by Robert Olsen, starring Richard Thorne as Hector (also producer & director), Beth Caulder as Evaline, Archie Hugely as Andre, Ken Jensen as Dr Corday, Mike Larogo as Raul, music by Earl Donaldson, engineer Nefi Sorenson, announcer Mel Wyman.
