Hosted by: WBAI Radio

On this day celebrating the independence of the United States from colonial rule, we pay tribute to one of our greatest patriots, Daniel Ellsberg. We look at his courageous expose of U.S. wartime abuses in Vietnam, previously withheld from the American Public. He did what he knew was right despite risking prosecution and imprisonment. He then continued advocating for honesty and good practices in U.S. foreign policy. As years went by he became a strong voice against the use of nuclear weapons. We broadcast programs from the 70s until the present day on this Fourth of July.
