On Wednesday the US Postal Service announced that it wants to end Saturday mail delivery beginning in August. While increasing use of email and other on-line services have significantly reduced the amount of first class mail sent every year, that’s really only a small part of the problem. In fact advocates say the financial situation at the USPS is mostly a manufactured crisis. WBAI’s Andrea Sears spoke with Jeff Musto is a researcher for the Center for Study of Responsive Law.
