Theater for the New City is known for its radical, political plays and community program. It was won 40 Obie Awards and a Pulitzer prize for Drama, and it the place for new, original and not quite completed plays. Its founders have supported the early careers of playwrights like Sam Shepard, Harvey Fierstein and Richard Forman. WBAI's Rebecca Myles spoke to Crystal Field, who has run the theater for 40 years
