The hearing in the case of the Central Park Five against the City has been going on for ten years. Their day in court where they face the prosecutors is still in the future.
Yesterday afternoon at Federal District Court in Manhattan the Central Park Five had what has lately been a monthly conference between plaintiffs and the prosecution over aspects of the case.
This week the hearing revolved around applications by the New York Times to make public what has previously been deemed confidential in the case and a request by the defense regarding reports by the two detectives who coerced the youths.
