The January 6th Select Committee into the January 6th attack on the Capitol held what was said to be their final hearing on Thursday. They presented evidence that showed that as early as January, Donald Trump was planning to declare victory in the 2020 election, a prelude to the attack on the Capitol. The Committee decided that Trump must be held accountable. Citing the more than 30 witnesses who had dealings with Trump who took the fifth, it proceeded to vote on a resolution to subpoena Trump to testify before the Committee.
