Kathy Hochul said "The role of Lieutenant Governor officially is to be experienced and prepared to step in and to serve as Governor should the need arise." And the need is here. Kathy Hochul in her seventh year as lieutenant governor now becomes the first woman to serve as Governor in New York State’s 233 year history. She will hold the position until Andrew Cuomo’s third 4 year term ends in December of 2022. And already there is speculation over her run as governor and on who else will be in the running.
Hochul is 62 years old. She’s from Buffalo. She’s a centrist democrat who has voted with republicans throughout her career. For more please click the arrow above and hear our report.
