John Kelly
Reince Preibus is out and retired Marine general John Kelly is in as Chief of Staff, a military man in the center of White House decision making. Trump tweeted "I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American." Kelly who was Trump's Homeland Security Secretary says he is "honored to be asked" to take the job. The 67 year old was with the Marines for forty years. He spent three tours in Iraq. He was Homeland Secrretary for six months. He is a strong supporter of Donald Trump's travel ban.

Of Preibus, Trump tweeted "I would like to thank Reince Priebus for his service and dedication to his country. We accomplished a lot together and I am proud of him!"  Preibus who was head of the Republican National Committee before taking the White House position was on the job for less than six months. His ouster comes after he was slammed by Trump's new communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, in a conversation with a New Yorker reporter, Ryan Lizza. ScaramucciI using very salty language blamed Preibus for Whitehouse leaks. The exhange was published in an article entitled "Anthony Scaramucci Called Me to Unload About White House Leakers, Reince Priebus, and Steve Bannon."
