-The US Army Corps of Engineers  granted approval for Dakota Access Pipeline to cross under the Oahe River, a Missouri River reservoir in North Dakota.The Indigenous Environmental Network and Standing Rock Sioux are calling for protests nationwide. In the past protesters have been injured by militarized police. Physicians for Human Rights cautions about crowd control weapons used at protests. 

-Political prisoner, Mumia Abu-Jamal who is incarcerated at the state correctional institution in Pennsylvania is being denied clean water to drink and to bathe in and he is being denied court ordered treatment for Hep C. We speak with Gwen de Brow with Bring Mumia Home NYC.

-The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is deciding whether to reinstate Donald Trump's Muslim ban. We hear from Judge Canby and the government's attorney. 

-In the lead up to the vote for Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions as U.S. Attorney General, Senator Elizabeth Warren reads a 1986 letter opposing him from Coretta Scott King. Warren is slienced by Senator Mitch McConnell. An uproar ensues. #LetLizSpeak
