BROOKLYN, NY, August 24, 2012: Tonight from 11:00 PM until 1:00 AM, Council Member  Jumaane D. Williams (D-Brooklyn) will be joined by Reverend Al Sharpton, founder of the National Network and Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes (D-Brooklyn) on East 46th Street between Church and Snyder Avenues in East Flatbush as part of the Occupy the Corners, an effort by Council Member Williams, the National Action Network and others to take back the streets from gun violence. This comes amidst the continuation of the shooting epidemic occuring in neighborhoods throughout New York City, including last night's murder of 13-year-old Ronald Wallace, Jr. in Brownsville and the multiple victims hit by a shooter outside the Empire State Building this morning, one fatally.
