Hayden died in California on Sunday. He was 76 years old. 

Hayden is remembered by WBAI's legendary broadcaster Bob Fass in this report for his protests against the war in VietNam as well as his role as a defendant in the Chicago 7 trial in 1968. In his later years as Fass tells us, he became more conservative.

At the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July, we spoke with Tom Hayden. Looking to the future, he spoke about Bernie Sanders' legacy and the need to get behind Hillary Clinton for her probable liberal picks on the Supreme Court.
