At City Hall this week support for NYC Council Member Jumaane Williams and his right to stay seated during the pledge of allegiance at City council stated meetings. For this action Williams has been receiving hate mail emails and racist tweets.

Williams standing among elected officials,Viet Nam Vets and activists pushed back against those who say this action is un-American. He says he will continue the protest until a task force dealing with jobs for youth comes out with a report and until Mayor de Blasio who has agreed to fund whatever is in the report puts it in NYC's budget.
