Cleveland settles lawsuit over Tamir Rice shooting

The city of Cleveland reached a $6 million settlement over the death of a 12 year old black youth, Tamir Rice. He was killed by white Police Officer Timonthy Loehmann while playing with a pellet gun. 

There was no admission of wrongdoing in the settlement. Cleveland's Mayor Jackson expressed deep sadness. The Rice family is in mourning.
