Senator Dianne Feinstein, Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, released a long-awaited report on the CIA's use of torture during the Bush administration.
The report finds that the use of the CIA's enhanced interrogation techniques was ineffective for obtaining accurate information or gaining detainee cooperation. It details the CIA's use of inhuman and degrading treatment against detainees who were forcibly disappeared.
Further the report finds that the CIA provided inaccurate information to the White House, the Department of Justice, Congress, the CIA Inspector General, the Media and the American Public.
